2004 MFD - VIN reports 7 button, 4 button installed

    Toyota calls for 86110-47071, the 7 button version, per the VIN. However the 86110-47081 (I'm assuming this # as I haven't removed it,) 4 button is installed. The screen is virtually too dim to read so I really need to replace it.

    Anyone else run into this?

    You're cat has GPS JBL stereo tweeters on rear doors up high etc ? Generally to have all that function properly you'll need the seven button remote in a pinch I believe you can plug up a four button remote and have basic MFD functions like car w o jbl and nav. So ? 7 buttons like 400 bux used . 4 button can be free as they plentiful so uhh...
