2004 prius headlight hardcover gasket

    I completed the agony of getting the headlight bulb replaced on the passenger side of my 2004 Prius. But now, the hard cover (it is not the rubbery kind with the hole in the middle) and its gasket will absolutely not fit back on. Any suggestions?

    Did you reuse the gasket or get a new one?
