I saw there is a used Prius 2005 at my toyota dealer but they didn't have it in yet. I wanted to know, is that LCD screen with the graphics of the engine and battery standard on all prius 2005 models (or even all prius'?) or is it an optional add on?

Also, is there any way to connect my own audio player to it's sound system (even a cassette reader so I could use a cassette adapter at least)?

    Thanks

Yes it is standard on all Prius models.

You can add an auxilary adapter module to allow you to plug in external devices like a cassette or mp3 player. Or you can just add an aftermarket stereo into the cubby pocket below the factory stereo and that opens up a whole slew of new options like bluetooth, USB and iPod integration, better sound quality, etc..
