My aging 2005 Prius decided to join the Christmas spirit and throw up more lights than it's ever done before.
When I start the car, the multifunction display shows "Problem" and then the dashboard displays the Red Triangle, Check Engine, (Yellow) Brake light, and the VSC (Vehicle Stability Control).
The battery level displayed also goes from fully depleted to fully charged and back again very quickly as I drive around, so I'm not getting a correct battery reading as well.
Additionally, the car runs a little sluggishly and feels like it's pulling forward/backward whenever I slow down.

I'm guessing the HV battery finally died on me. It's still the original battery and has worked for 13 years and 91,404 miles now.

A reasonable guess, however the diagnostic trouble codes will confirm whether that is the case.

As Patrick said, it is a good guess, but you really should read the codes. Then decide if you want to fix it to drive it longer, or to junk it. Seems like a relatively low mile vehicle and if it is a retirement car, may be worth putting in a new pack. 13 years in the Florida sun isn't too bad.

Update: I used the diagnostic mode to check the error codes, and these are displayed under:
"Service Check" ==> "LAN Monitor" ==> "EMV"

    Code & Subcode:
    01-D5 190-66-A
    01-DC 190-BD-F
    01-DC 1C6-29-F

Though searching for information on these doesn't bring up anything useful. To the dealership, then.
If I can budget a repair, I'll do that.

Those codes are totally irrelevant to your car’s problem. They relate to the audio system.

Dealership confirmed that the HV battery died. Thank you all for the heads up.

I decided to go ahead with the repair and get a new battery put in.
The actual OBDII code was P0A80. The warranty is good for 3 years which is about how long is left for payments on the other car.
Thank you all for your help.
