2005 Prius hybrid battery for sale (just put in less than a year ago)

    In July of last year my hybrid battery needed to be replaced, I spent $1600 to have a refurbished battery put in. Unfortunately with all the repairs needed to get it running again it’s totaled, but im trying to sell the hybrid battery since it’s still working. Does anyone know where I could sell it in Tucson, AZ?

    Test by first disconnecting the inverter coolant pump, replace the AM2 fuse, and see if it starts up (you may have to clean the throttle body as well). Those OEM pumps are cheap, and labor is around 1 hour or less. Then keep/drive it, or sell it as a running vehicle.

    The OEM catalytic converter has more value than that old used HV battery. Best to sell the vehicle with the HV battery intact. Try selling via the usual avenues; FB, CL, OU, ND, etc.

    Did you already procure another vehicle?

    From your listing, a number of the items are easily fixable by someone with the time to do the work.
    You’d be amazed at what even an undriveable Gen 2 Prius is worth. The cat alone is worth $1000. Just pick a price that’s higher than you think it’s worth and list it on Craigslist in Tucson.
