Purchased a 2005 Prius. Car lived most it’s life in savanna Georgia so no salt. Has 153000 miles on it. Replaced the mass air flow sensor ,battery, new tires , filters small stuff
Got it for a kick around car , really enjoy it.
Got in here to learn about these vehicles, will keep this one for a while then upgrade to a more recent model.
From my Z06 to a Prius. Gotta have a sense of humor

    Welcome to Priuschat.
These cars run for a long time.
You may want to consider buying some diagnostic tools.

    - Android phone/tablet that has WiFi access
-Torque Pro app ($6 for paid version)
-Elm 327 Bluetooth OBDII adaptor ($10-$30)
This will let you red and clear codes plus see hybrid battery info

I'm with you on that. Three or four years or so ago, if someone had told me I'd be driving a Prius (and liking it) I'd have laughed until I choked out...

My prius serves its purpose as an A to B, B to A car. My Mazdaspeed 6 serves its purpose as my fun car. Best of both worlds :):):)

Congrats on all the fuel you will be saving!
