I have a 2005 Toyota Prius that has over 260k miles. I was on my way home when my engine light and the hybrid system light both turned on. I had my AC on when it suddenly started blowing hot air and that’s when both of these lights turned on. Any ideas?

    Welcome to PriusChat!!

You need to have the codes read with a prius compatible OBD2 reader.

Without knowing which codes were thrown, it could be that your inverter water pump has failed.

You can check if it is functioning by taking the cap off the inverter coolant reservoir and looking for movement on the liquid surface, or you can also check by feeling for vibration at the inverter water pump.

I think you just have a simple failure with the inverter coolant pump. $300 by a private mechanic and you'll be back on the road again
