I got 2006 invoices yesterday from a very reliable source.
(Can't say who because they haven't published them on their own site yet.)

    Package/Option Description: MSRP / Invoice / Profit
    Base Price: $21,725 / $20,006 / $2,205
    2% Holdback: NA / NA / $436
    Dest. Charge: $580 / $580 / $0
    GY-Package #1: $650 / $559 / $91
    HE-Package #2: $825 / $659 / $166
    HF-Package #3: $1,475 / $1,218 / $257
    HG-Package #4: $1,825 / $1,519 / $306
    HI-Package #5: $3,205 / $2,577 / $628
    HK-Package #6: $3,830 / $3,077 / $753
    NL-Package #7: $5,730 / $4,692 / $1,038
    NW-Package #8: $6,890 / $5,620 / $1,270

I have taken these numbers and created an updated Prius Calculator for 2006 MY which I will post in the Files forum.

These numbers may not help you negotiate a better than MSRP deal but I trust that some of you might find creative ways to use them to your advantage. B)

Does anyone know if the MSRP prices have changed since the above posts were made in November of 2005? I put down a deposit at a dealer at the end of 2005,
but looked at another dealer last weekend and they were telling me that a package 6 on a 2006 now costs $2000 more than it did in November 2005.
The 2nd dealer showed me a sticker MSRP that was supposed to be a package 6
with no extras and no "market adjustment fee" that was $2000 more than the
first dealer. So I need to know if the MSRP has changed that much since then
or if the above numbers on this thread are still accurate.
    Thanks in advance.

To my knowledge, MSRP has not changed.
You can check 2006 Toyota Prius optional equipment at Edmunds or Toyota.com.
