I don't have any specific information about the '07, but I believe that the '06 started be delivered in early December of 2005.

I picked up my '05 on 11/07/2004. I don't think I was the first kid in line either, so they must have been available in October. I believe the '06s arrived a bit later in the next year but I can't say when. You can never tell--they get here when they're ready.

I suspect that MY07 cars will, indeed, be arriving on dealer lots no later than October.

The full tax credit, 60,000 car threshold was (apparently) reached in Q3/FY06, which ended 30 June. This means that the full tax credit will also apply to all MY06 cars sold in the following Q4/FY06, which will end 30 Sept.

Toyota will not delay model changeover if they can help it in order for all MY06 cars to be available for sale before the end of FY06. If MY07 production begins in Aug 06, with deliveries beginning in Oct 06, Toyota will do everything they can to make sure that all remaining MY06 cars are on dealer lots well before 30 Sept, and thus make them (and the entire MY06 run) eligible for the full tax credit.

It will be interesting to see how MY07 sales fair if the tax credit is not renewed or extended. I suspect that although Prii (and hybrids, in general) will still sell well, sales just won't be quite as brisk as MY06 Prii 'flying' off the lots in two days (or less) after arriving. Accordingly, prices will begin to drop below MSRP, as well.

Is it possible for a dealer to have one in-bound and NOT know the VIN? I was attempting to get an 06 Pkg 8, Black and Gray. The dealer couldn't get the one showing on the SET inventory but tells me they have an 07 on the way; Black and Gray, 1224, pkg 6, that I should be able to get 1st week of October. Anyone think they are blowing smoke?

P.S. Can someone change the profile set-up page to include 07's? :)

Yeah I was hoping to see the change in the set-up page to include the 07's as well, but I think the Admin has to do it though. Since the 2006 models are phasing out now its time for the 07's to make their debut. :)

My dealer tells me I'll have my 2007 Touring Edition by the second week in October (2006).

My dealer tells me I'm #1 on their list for a 2007 Silver #2. However, they cannot (or will not?) give me an anticipated arrival date. Put our deposit down 1st week in August. At least I know where I stand on their list :p

How exciting! Please let us know more once you've taken delivery; I for one am curious to hear about your experience with the Touring Edition.
