2007 Prius while driving car shifted itself into neutral.

    While traveling 50mph my Prius shifted into neutral. I shut off a/c, lights, radio. While still moving now 35mph I shifted into D and continued home. My Battery gauge showed 1 blue bar. When I pulled into my driveway the gauge was now at 4 blue bars. What is happening?

    It sounds like the car shifted into neutral.
    Any chance you may have bumped the shifter handle?

    Always the chance the shifter is going bad...

    If no alarms, dtc, etc, then the car thought you wanted it to go into neutral, so it did.
