My 2008 prius with 160k miles on it suddenly started showing these signs on the dasboard.
Is the car safe to drive to a dealership?
What are the most common reasons these come on?
Any guesstimate about how much it would cost to get this fixed?
    Thanks for any help.

All of the warning lights on the combination meter could be a result of many different issues, but if you look at the mfd you’ll see a warning symbol that shows there is an issue with the hybrid battery.

For a short period of time the car will still drive but once the battery’s voltage is too low the car will no longer drive.

There are a few options to resolve this issue. The most expensive of course is to replace with a new hybrid battery. Medium priced is to replace with a used or remanufactured battery. And the cheapest option is to have your battery repaired. If the car is still drivable it is most likely that only 1-3 modules are below nominal voltage. Modules sell on eBay for about $30 each.

Hope this information helps and happy to answer anymore questions you might have.

    welcome!
bad hybrid battery. but just because it is the most common doesn't mean it is the problem.

if it runs fine, you can drive it carefully to the dealer
