This part was nice recalled, and replaced, as it got VERY gummy ! This is the little rubber piece, on the hatch lid, that you press onto when you raise the hatch.
It "appears" to be affixed to the hatch by two phillips head screws.
Does anyone know for where to order a replacement ?

    Thanks!

You would need to order the entire part from Toyota, including the switch to open the hatch. That's about $70 online a year ago.

Or you can cut a piece of rubber (like a bike innertube) and replace the melted rubber

You could also go to Home Depot, or the like, in the plumbing section is a plastic vapor barrier for placement behind concrete backer board in wet areas. It is pretty thick, thicker than bike inner tube, but still pliable. They often have end pieces and scraps that you can get for nothing if asked.

I drilled out the holes for the screws and used silicon sealant around the inner perimeter of the rubber. That's the easy part, the nasty part is cleaning off the old black tar like stuff. Good luck. :)
