Does anyone have any information on piston part number 13101-37130? especially if it superseded any other part numbers? Google search is not turning up anything other than discontinued which is not helpful.

Found it in my 2010 tear down.

I was expecting to find the original 13101-37120 and at best the updated version 13101-37240, but instead it is 37130. Seems it went in a Corolla 14-18 but I see nothing regarding compatibility or if it had the same oil ring channel problem as the original 37120. Oil rings were all caked and stuck on 3 out of 4 and by eye the channels do not look enlarged like the 37240.

Not sure why 37130 would have been installed.

Is this a known rebuilt engine? It is the first year of the new model and the Atkinson engine and all that so. Are the other three pistons of the same origin? I would say if they're all the same then not a huge amount of worries maybe the engine was changed this was a 2010 and now it has a something to 18 Corolla engine in it not a huge issue either way it's all clogged up and it's got to be dealt with no matter what it came out of I don't think it's clogged up because it's incorrect. It's probably clogged up because of I don't know poor maintenance for maintenance before you got it it was starting to be clogged when you got it or when they got it put in this car before you bought it or?
