    Hello all,

I have a 2010 Prius....will not start. Will not take jumpstart....I’m guessing it’s gotta be the 12v battery. It appears the battery is accepting a charge when connected to the assisting car, but all I get is a buzzing sound when I try to start it. Since it is a hybrid, it shouldn’t have an alternator or starter? Any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks!

Charge the 12 V battery and take it and have it tested.

Is this the original battery? Prius does weird things when the 12 V battery starts to die.

you need a new 12v. the current one has an internal short. try disconnecting it, then jump starting.

So I changed out the 12v battery....still nothing. Towed it to the dealer....they advise it’ll take at least 4 hrs to diagnose it. I’ll keep everyone updated...
