    OK folks,

I finally got just enough time and money to buy a used 2012 Prius Plug-in and reverse engineer the crap out of this battery management system.

I am going to deploy a new version of Dr. Prius App to Google play store (sorry iOS not ready yet), if you own a 2012-2015 plug-in and don't already have Dr. Prius App, please reach out to me and I will send you a promo code to unlock test features for free. If you already are Dr. Prius App I thank you and would really appreciate if you can help me validate the result by running couple of "life expectancy test" and send me the result along with the year, mileage, temperature during test and geo-location of your vehicle to [email protected]

Currently the test number is not compensated in any way so that it will be affected by the temperature quite a bit, I notice that with every 10 degree differences (Fahrenheit) the final result if off by maybe 2~3%, my goal is to narrow down this temperature curve from 20 degree F all the way to 120.

    Thanks,
    Jack

I am still working on iOS support for Plug-in, should be out within a week or so, lot of code refactoring!
You still can use Dr. Prius on 2012-2015 Plug-In but it will wrongly recognize it as Prius V Lithium.

    any Android user here? :)

    Hey Jack,

Any updates with the iOS release? I'm planning to pick up a 2012 Plug-in this Saturday.

Yup, I just release the iOS version today that support plug-in !!!

For life expectancy test, you will have to deplete the pure EV mode (drive till the car drop out of battery only mode), then the test can start, the test should take about 15 mins due to the larger Lithium battery.

    Hi Jack
Just got a Panlong OBD and installed the payed version of the dr Prius app (android). The 2 battery tests on my 2012 plugin showed good results
Is there (allready) a test of the plug-in capacity/health?
