2012 cab with nearly 500k. what do you think?

    The cab I have been driving for the past year is finally being retired... odometer is at 498k! it still runs great, the big battery was replaced last year. The owner offered it to me for 2k. From the other threads I've seen I suspect you guys will try to talk me out of it, but I though I'd give it a shot anyhow. Thanks in advance for any input.

    welcome!
    i would pay two grand just for 2,000 more miles! then i would call toyota and discuss their next prius commercial, most here claim the gen 3 isn't as hearty as gen 2. you beg to differ. all the best.(y)

    If it lasts to 1,000,000 miles maybe Toyota will give you a new Prius like Volvo when they gave a new Volvo to their 1,000,000 customer. :)

    You can easily make more than 2k parting it out. A year old hybrid battery should easily go for 1k and that's dirt cheap. Or just drive it. 2k is cheap transportation.

    That is probably quite true. The parts are probably worth far more than you are paying for this Pri.
