2012 Prius V Hybrid System warning light - Does anyone have experienced this?

    Just had this occur today, first hot day of the summer, and it was the dog’s blanket having slipped down the front of the rear seat, covering up the hybrid cabin intake. Bingo.

    Better to just read the trouble codes or have them read. There are around two hundred reasons for that light to come on. So it's not like you'll have trouble getting people to say "sure, that happened to me", but you could get a lot of "oh, yeah, it was X" with X being different things. :)

    FWIW, more to this exact occurrence on a road trip. An intermittently contacting OBD reader triggered an alarming dashboard light show -- solid yellow ABS, VSC, BRAKE (EXCLAMATION) indicators, along with a yellow HYBRID SYSTEM (EXCLAMATION) indicator, due to a blanket-blocked battery fan.

    Be very careful with intermittent OBD contacts (and blankets). As someone said of the v, "it's a rolling network."
