2016 Prius Two not II because only 2010 used uppercase Roman Numerals, and can't find wiper blades!

I have a 2016 Prius TWO, not II, my wiper blades are streaking. I go to AutoZone, O'Reilly, Venice Toyota, and nobody has them. AutoZone thought they had them, but the ones that are shown to fit, do not fit. The Toyota dealer in Venice Florida said they don't even show them as being in stock in their warehouse.

These are pretty new blades on your car, you sure you need to replace them, have you tried washing them really well?

I rarely use OEM blades. I would go with Bosch or Rain-X blades.

Yes, that was the first thing I did was wash them. It improved, but still streaks. Toyota claims they are warrantied, gave me a paper stating that, but they ain't got the replacements.

Well they are under warranty for 3 years, so you should be good, I am sure they will have replacements soon, you can always call corporate and have them look into replacements.

Have you ever used RainX, this may help with the streaking and at least will help remove the water off the glass with less use of the wipers.

How clean is your windscreen? - mine had some sort of coating, seemed to be slightly oily, maybe from being in transit. I cleaned it well with a window cleaner, and the wipers are working really well.

If you had gotten a II, you wouldn't have this problem.

the gen4 blades are a new Toyota jdm proprietary clip design. I believe all the 3rd party vendors have not copied it yet. the only other model I am aware that uses this type of clip is the jdm sienta. it looks similar to the vw push button type but is smaller version of it.

If you're looking for something, and it's not available, that could be a tip-off. The car is very new, it'll take some time for demand for wiper blades to build, and then they'll be available. In the interim, persevere in cleaning the glass? I'd suspect the dealership didn't prep the car properly. This stuff works champion for me:

Glass Kleen Industrial Strength Glass Cleaner | Princess Auto

FWIW, we're still on the original blades, over 60,000 km's on a 2010 with build-date August 2009. The car is garage stored though, leads a sheltered life.

image.jpeg Per the Owner's Manual the rubber inserts are replaceable.

These are the ones the dealer ordered for me-- they took a day to come in. They told me that since they were ordered with my VIN they were certain these were the right part numbers. Time will tell on that-- I have no need to try them out right now.

Tell them to get the replacements and wait?

Can't believe a Toyota dealers will remain out of stock on an item as basic as Prius Wiper Blade replacements forever.

Are they saying the entire wiper blade assembly is under warranty and they will replace the entire blade assembly?
Or are they saying the rubber insert?

You can replace just the rubber insert....the very "blade" itself.
The problem potentially then being, if there is a defect in the assembly, and perhaps how much pressure it is applying to the glass, you will continue to have the same problem.
