It depends on dealer. During last year, when factory incentive increased, dealer discount diminished so overall the final price stayed somewhat constant, but quite variable from a dealer to dealer. Also, some dealers were more willing to deal for out-of-state buyers. I purchased my 2017 Premium trim last summer when NE cash back was $3125 but dealer throw in additional $2600 discount, so purchase price of $30K MSRP car was $24400 (+TTL). The incentive then increased up to $4500, but sales price reported in NE stayed around that mark IIRC. Just keep checking the site for new incentives and check this thread for what other people are paying.

I'm pretty sure that is just for the Advanced models. I have 2017 prime advanced and I know the prius prime phone apps with climate control, vehicle finder, eco dashboard, etc. were only available on advanced, not plus, not even premium. But maybe it changed for 2018?

For the prime apps, you need an account with the Toyota Entune app and a subscription to Toyota Safety Connect, BUT for the 2017 models if you buy an advanced, then toyota gives you a 3 year complimentary Toyota Safety Connect subscription. I got mine less than a month ago and I think it takes some time for the climate control to work. However, I park the car in our condo garage which gets no phone service in there.

also youtube: prius prime apps and it will give you some more info.
I like the self parking youtube clips
    Hope this helps

Hey all, shopping right now for a Prius Prime Plus in SoCal. Been negotiating for a couple days. Right now looking like $27K OTD, not too sure about the situation in SoCal to know if that's a good deal. I see someone in NY got $24.5 though which is way less however. Any thoughts? Not sure how much I can push them further. Started around $28K OTD.

The Plus. I didn't like the touchscreen at all, and while I like some of the advanced features of the Advanced, it's not worth the price jump.

And for which color? Also depend on whether taking the 0.9% or $1500 rebate and zip code. If regular color and have your own finance/cash, the $27K seem reasonable/doable.

you won't get close to a ny price in cali. you have little stock and high demand. ny has lots of stock and low demand.

If this price includes $1500 cashback then that's a good price. I got mine $29k OTD with 0.9% apr for Plus blizzard pearl.
One dealer in Valencia offered me $28,500 for Super White color and 0.9% apr.

Magnetic Gray Silver. We've discussed the .9% financing with that OOTD price. We'll see if they keep or backtrack. A few other nearby dealerships are within a couple hundred dollars with the .9% so I wouldn't mind walking to them if they protest.

    See above. Should included it!

Ok, so I am now a new owner of a 2018 Prius Prime Plus, here's what I got for a sale price of $22,912 (plus tax, dealer fees and so on)...

This was at Hoffman Toyota in Simsbury, CT. There is a $3,500 rebate going on until 10/1/18, I cannot say for sure that you'll get the same price nor do they have any referral program so it does not make any difference to me if you buy from them or Bob down the road. When I was shopping around they were one of only a few dealers who had a lot of the Plus trim in inventory, so if you're looking for a base model (which in my opinion comes with a lot of stuff standard) there's Hoffman and a place in New Jersey (Crystal Toyota?) that have good deals going on in conjunction with rebates....it's a really good deal if you're paying cash because...compounding interest.

Anyway, if we're not allowed to post dealer's names just message me and I will remove the reference to the dealer.

    Hi AverageGuy805,

I am also in the market for the Prime Plus and living in Orange county. I have been visiting local dealers: El More, Garden Grove, and Huntington Beach. The prices I am getting for the Plus is like what you got for the Premium.

Could you please give me the sale person contact information that you got your from?

    Thanks,
    Tim

So finally got my deal done.

2017 Prius Prime Advanced trim, blue magnetism with black interior

MSRP = $34,308 (All weahter mats, cargo tray and wheel locks)
    Price = $27,500
    Doc fee = $75
    Tax =$1,925 (Indiana)
    Title/license = $480
    Total OTD = $29,980
    Minus $4,500 federal tax rebate = $25,480

Great car! Drove it back to IN from NY so 900 some miles. I can say the dealer was rather dissappointing and didn't do much for me... didn't wash car, or detail inside and didn't disclose 3 minior paint chips or scratches and wouldn't negotiate except an $80 "Well we have a guy that can fix the paint chip for $80 and looks like new".

On a side note, they did have a silver/black 2017 advanced as well so someone could probably pick that up for $27,500 as well if they were interested from New Rochelle in NY, just be aware.

PM sent. But for those wondering in SoCal, I got a 2018 Premium for $29K OTD a couple weeks ago. (About the same $ as what people are getting the 2017 Advanced right now ) I got mine at Toyota Autonation Buena Park. But the Prius inventory at Toyota Carlsbad puts every dealer in SoCal to shame. They had almost every trim in every color plus more in the back lot.

Just wanted to say thanks to this forum. I live in Idaho and they aren’t eligible for the 3500 Toyota cash, is only 2500 in these parts. That said thanks to this forum I was able to score a blizzard pearl premium for 25,800 plus TTL. Feel great about my deal, saved me close to 1000 bucks. Love the car, not as fancy as my ‘13 Volt, but after 108k miles I was ready for something new.

I bought my Prime Plus at Middletown Toyota Connecticut. Sticker was 28.8 and I bought it for 23.1K. Factory incentive of 3500, dealer reduced cost then there is tax and registration.. plus CT gives a $500 rebate someday in the near future and of course the Fed tax incentive of 4502 still to come for next year. Middletown didn't BS me.. most of the other dealers at best played games and at worst were not truthful about pricing and incentives etc.

$29,500 OTD from a Bay area dealer

    Notes:
    • I contacted a bunch of dealers in July and everyone's prices in Aug. were higher. Could be dealer mind tricks or because MSRP increased from $30,000 to $30,228.
    • Surprisingly, the dealer let me pay for a portion of it on credit card (**credit card travel points)
I know I could've gotten a better deal, but I'm loving my prius so far

Seems like the Connecticut is one of the best places to buy a Prime right now. Also bought in CT, got mine at $22,912 (plus, tax, dealer, registration, etc), I do think mine was $500 less on MSRP though... Of course I live in North Carolina so I don't get what Connecticut has for credits.
