That's a pretty decent price but they can go lower...I was quoted as low as $24,133 for a dealer in the Portland area for a 2018 Prius Prime Plus, with no financing strings (also ~$26,100 for the 2018 premium). Portland is the largest import hub for Toyota in the US, so they pretty much come off the boat for the local dealers.

See my post below. Consider Portland and having multiple dealerships compete with each other online. That's where Prius Primes are imported in the US.

    1. Yes, 2017 qualify too as long as its new car from dealer. (Make sure they are selling you one without lot of miles on odo. Mine had 29. My last CRV, I strongly insisted that be a car pulled right off the truck, and it had 6 miles).
    2. Shouldn't matter in PNW at least. If its been baking in sun in AZ, thats a different story.
    3. 2k difference seems about aright. THats the difference between 2018 Toyota Rebates vs the 2017. So, Dealer is not taking the hit for an older model, Toyota is. You could ask for another 500 to 1000 from dealer side citing depreciation concerns. But at 27, you are closing in on Premium for an Advanced.[/QUOTE]

    1. I agree, yes.
    2. Yes, still gets the 2 year warrantee
    3. Yes

Hi PNWGAL, thanks for the tip on Portland.

There has been lots of talk of the massive toyota rebates from the Northeast dealers in this chat. What are the regional toyota deals that you saw in the Portland/PNW area when these 4-5K discounts were taking place on the other coast? I see some decent dealership discounts on the website but I'm thinking I wait a bit more for some Toyota sponsored deals to come back? Maybe sometime leading up to Labor Day? ... assuming there are any 2017s left.

Some of the members here seemed to have seen 7K off msrp ... I want some of that! :)

I have no idea but dealerships in Portland still have quote a few 2017 Advanced, and I even saw one or two 2017 Premiums.

@PNWgal, i am in the market for plug in. can you name the dealer that quoted 26.1K for 2018. I got two more months on my current chevy lease. not sure whether to jumpin now before 1.5K rebates expires or wait till labor day. Last time i got Rav4 during labor day special.

Any idea when 2019 are going to available.

A dealer in CT quoted me 28,793 minus the 2k factory incentive on a 2018 Premium. I'm going to hold out until the 2019's are released hopefully reducing the 2018 prices.

Toyota of Portland quoted me $24,233 for 2018 Prius Prime Plus with no financing strings (not including $115 dealer doc fee, my state taxes and DMV fees, and $29 Oregon temp permit); and Tonkin Toyota quoted me at $24,133 for the same. Toyota of Portland quoted me ~$26,100 for 2018 Prius Prime Premium. Those prices are after having them undercut each other.

I read online somewhere, I think on a car business news website that 2019s are speculated to come out December...but that seems late.

Agree don't think they changed anything. Anyone know when the 2019's come out?

You guys are all negotiating noobs. I bought THREE of them in May, 2 reds and 1 blue. I paid $24,079 OTD after tax, registration, and documentation fees. That includes all season floor mats, interior applique, rear bumper applique, and the $500 surcharge for the red color. After my $1500 MA credit and $4500 federal credit, that's $18,000 after tax, title, registration, and documentation fees. To be precise, I paid $15,683 for the red cars before fees. The purchase contract for the blue one is in my filing cabinet on the other side of the room, but it was basically $500 less than this. All three cars are PREMIUMS.

Please share which dealer? Ready to fly to get one. Live in CA, really difficult to talk down the price.

That's about what I paid for my Prime Premium with MSRP $31000 last year when Toyota rebate was ONLY $3125. I thought about buying another one this year when the rebate got to be $4500, but didn't. BTW, if you buy more than one in the same tax year, can you claim for multiple credits, of course provided you have large enough tax liability to cover three x $4500 credit.

Picked up a new 2017 advanced, titanium with moonstone interior for my wife yesterday. Deal included floor liner package throughout. Sticker price was $34,243. Toyota rebate of $4000, dealer discount of $2243. Sale price of $28,000 plus vermont sales tax and dealer fees totaling $541, and then hopefully the $4500 Federal tax credit. Vermont does NOT offer any state incentives. Anyone have any idea if the 200,000 sales mark will be hit? My wife loves the car, but its the federal tax credit that closed the deal for me. No negotiations needed. Test drove the car. Informed dealer that I was really interested in the Premium trim, and my offer of $28000 was a one time take it or leave it offer. He took it!!!

How much is 2 years free maintenance worth on a new Prime?
