In Canada Prime is only available in Quebec. It is available nationwide in the US but I have not yet seen one here in Central Virginia. I see very few Gen 4 too. More Gen 3 with a scattering of Gen 2.

I am curious if the Prime and solar Prime are doing better than Pip which was not so popular in Japan.

I believe so. The Prime seems to be doing as well as it is in the US. The PiP did worse in Japan compared to the US.

On top of the high price, PiP sales also suffered in Japan because incentives for plain old hybrids were still in effect on its arrival. Then the Aqua/Prius c was still the new thing there, and doing better than the liftback at the time.

The Safety Plus special edition doesn't have ITS... (even though it has TSS-P and ICS/IPA)

    I'm lost. :ROFLMAO:

    Ok:

ITS Intelligent Transport System (traffic info?)
TSS-P: Toyota Safety Sense - something?
    ICS: Intelligent Clearance Sonar
    IPA: Intelligent Parking Assist

I will not retain this, doomed.

TSS-C is Toyota Safety Sense - Compact (models such as Yaris, Corolla IM, Prius c), so I'm guessing TSS-P is Toyota Safety Sense - Premium (all models larger than compacts)

I found this on Hesser Toyota's blog, but couldn't copy the link.

Kind of interesting that Toyota would feature "Nappa Leather" as a upgrade or bonus to this special edition.
Given my memory of how much Toyota promoted the ecological, enviromental, moral, and utilitarian superiority of "Soft Tex".

It's a nice...well...IMO great looking Prius. But, I get tired of "Special Editions" that really aren't much but a parade of cosmetic changes.
This is not limited to Toyota.
But I read constantly about "Sports Editions" where when you wade through all the upgrades, become not much more than different wheels, maybe slightly tweaked trim, and a leather wrapped steering wheel.
I'd like to see automakers offer "special editions" with more actual DNA difference. Really shake it up...with something more substantial. For example, would we be REALLY interested in this special edition if it had stronger electric motors or a more powerful battery?
Give me something more than just primarily cosmetics.
