Hope this is in the right place.

    Recent trip
Lewiston, ID to Ventura, CA to Redmond OR to Lewiston, ID
Route Lewiston to Winnemuca, on highway 95
Winnemucca to Stockton, CA on highway 80 (over Donner pass 7200 ft?)
Stockton, Ca on I5 to Highway 126 in southern CA
    126 to Ventura, CA
Ventura on 126 back to I5
    I5 to Weed, CA
Weed to Redmond, OR on US 97
    Redmond to Lewiston on 97, 84, 82 and 124 and 12

    Total miles traveled = 2556
Avg speed for trip = 56mph
    Fuel used 52 gal
    Avg MPG = 49.15

On cruise control at all times possible probably 90%
Cruise set to 5 mph over limit or set to flow with traffic.
AC set on auto at all times at 74 degrees
Car set on Eco at all times
Outside high temp seen was 106 near Bakersfield and the grapevine hill
Low temp seen was 46 near Redmond, OR

All in all very happy on how the car performed.
No complaints or problems at all.

That is a very nice trip and the MPG figures sound realistic to me and comparable to what I get, as opposed to the 942.5 mpg on cruise control and averaging 72 mph uphill that I see posted on here regularly.

Well there is a first time for everything! I've never known "Weed CA" as a Reference point LOL I have Filled up on Gas there (Expensive) and Stayed overnight in a Motel 6 (cheap) But other than that. (I think it has a population of 3,000 people?)

It has a cool view of Mt Shasta, but not much else!

My Bet is you got really good MPG coming down the grapevine going north toward Bakersfield CA

Oh how did the "B" work going down that long hill? my guess is you had no problem charging your batteries :)

And Average 56MPH? wow that's good it's hard to go that following trucks in South Oregon/North California

Oh and IMO the Kicker for that whole trip it only cost $170 in gas (Assuming 3.24.99/Gal)
From Portland to Sacramento 500m in my truck it would cost that much...

    Prius FTW

LR, I would be happy with those results.

Did you happen to record the computer MPG too?

Just for reference and to show my age, a 1957 36hp VW Beetle had a top speed of about 70 mph, weighed 1/2 as much as a Prius and got about 34 mpg running flat out at 68-70 mph. There has been progress.

Never used "B" I let the cruise hold back the speed.
    Gas cost was $174
Dont forget you have to get to the top of a hill before you can go down the other side. :)
