277k 07, put in a new tranny with 90k on it, mpg jumped from 40 to 52

    Just keep this in mind if you're stressing about low 40s, there's not much you can do short of replacing the transaxle, and enjoy every mile you get before that becomes a $2500 necessity. My particular one failed due to a ground fault in the MG1, and if you're wondering what it sounded like leading up to it, there was a perceivable whine whenever I drove it:
