    A likely reason for the incentive. I'm not sure how much it will help. The hold up on CNG vehicle adoption is the refueling infrastructure. Great there is one you can use, but in some areas a CNG Civic can have less usability than a BEV. Being tied by its shorter than gasoline car range to a few CNG pumps.

    IIRC, the government incentives on CNG cars are good. So of the people in which the CNG Civic can work for, the majority have already purchased one. This incentive might pull in a few more sitting on the fence.
