Complete brake system overhaul — new pads, rotors, and calipers on all four corners. Brake fluid completely flushed afterward. This job took many hours of hands-on labor and would easily cost $2,000–$3,000 at a mechanic. ABS actuator replaced — this is the hardest part of the Prius brake system to service since it’s located under the inverter. The replacement actuator is a good used OEM unit, tested and functioning properly. Four new spark plugs installed recently. Throttle body service completed — smooth idle, no hesitation. New air filter and cabin air filter. Southern car with absolutely zero rust — clean underbody, perfect for anyone in the Rust Belt looking for a corrosion-free Prius. Happy to connect to Techstream for serious buyers — I can show live hybrid system readings, battery health, and trouble-free modules. Interior Condition Driver’s seat: has a large tear (see video). A junkyard seat or seat cover will make it like new. Steering wheel: original leather, shiny and worn but still intact. Includes an unused leather wrap kit from Amazon if you want to refresh it. Cubby latch: broken (piece included if you want to glue it back). Multi-function display (MFD): works, but screen is very dim — common issue. Fully visible in shade, hard to see in sunlight. Fixable with a $20 DIY ribbon cable kit or a $150 junkyard replacement. ️ Air Conditioning A/C blows ice cold — confirmed on video (under 50°F vent temps). There’s a slow refrigerant leak, so I just top it off with a couple cans of R-134a from AutoZone each summer. It’s been perfectly fine this way for years. Exterior Condition Paint and body in nice shape for age. No rust, no corrosion, no bubbling paint — ever. Hubcaps and trim are brand new, none cracked or faded. Extras Two working keys with brand new key-fob enclosures (no cracked buttons or gummy rubber). Original manuals and service paperwork included. I’m happy to answer technical questions, send Techstream screenshots, or hop on a quick call for serious buyers. What’s left are the personal touches: the seat, the tires, the paint, and the MFD. I decided to leave those up to the next owner because I can’t predict who that’ll be — maybe a commuter who just needs a solid, efficient daily driver; maybe a Prius fan from up north who wants a clean, rust-free southern car to restore; or maybe a parent looking for a safe, economical first car for their kid. Whoever ends up with it will be getting a straight, honest car with the big stuff handled — and a few easy projects left to make it their own.
"At the end of the day, the important stuff is done right" Putting in a used Brake Actuator is nothing "done right". This problem can easily arise again since the unit that was put in is used. The AC leak can be very expensive to fix correctly, leaks only get worse with time. Bad seats, tires, paint, expensive MFD, and possibly other items you have not mentioned (like an expensive HV battery) I think you have to be a little more honest about this car and $5200 asking price.
I’ve tried to be as transparent as possible with all the pics, videos, and details of the car, including the issues you mentioned. My $5,200 asking price is based on scouring listings and completed sales on eBay and other sites to reflect the current market for a Prius in this condition. I completely understand that some buyers may factor in potential repairs differently, and I encourage anyone interested to review everything carefully. My goal is just to provide full visibility so buyers can make an informed decision.
