I think I have mastered this freak of a car! I can get it to glide after warm and use just the battery a lot of the time. I use it for work and drive 250+ miles a day and try to not shut it off while I jump out for a few minutes between jobs. I have gotten what I consider excellent mileage on my first 4 tanks which calculated have been 52,57,64 and 60. If I drive a lot of city 60mpg is no problem but if I drive more highway I tend to lose about 1-2 mpg. Car has 84K now and I have as an Amsoil dealer changed the oil accordingly and pumped the tires(fuel max goodyear) to 40psi with a few more mods soon which will result in 60 almost all the time I love this car!

You are doing well. I have a 2006 with 12,000 miles on it and I average around 58 mpg. Mainly Hyway driving with CC. I still have the Integrety tires on mine and they have lots left. Will be going with the Fuel Max by Goodyear next. Great cars:D H

    60 MPG, nice!

Since I first got mine my MPG has crept up from initially about 4.9L per 100k (48 MPG) to where I'm now mostly getting about 4.2L per 100k (56 MPG).

Recently I did two consecutive tank fulls where I got 4 digit mileage (well actually 4 digit kilometerage) on each tank. Got one tank where I went 1006 km before refilling and then followed it up with another 1001 km tank.

BTW. We don't have the rubber bladder in the fuel tank here so you get a bit more in and it's more consistent too. So much less chance of running out, even if you do drive down to the last blinking pip as I did on those two occasions.

last 2 tanks 60mpg and I have found that without using the cruise control I can avg almost 60mpg on the highway by driving 62-65 and coming down to 58 going up slight hills and coasting back up to 65 on the backside. Yesterday did almost all highway 250 miles and mfd is 62.5mpg as I can avg well over 75mpg in town cruising 35-40mph.I have found that for optimal mpg the cruise control is not perfect as it trys to keep the same speed going up the hill and not allowing speed to increase going down the backside. This now makes 4 tanks of at least 60mpg.
