6200 miles in 9 days, Great trip in 2012 Prius

Last week adventures, drive across the country:

We decided to surprise my wife's brother and show up at his surprise birthday party, the only problem is that he lives in California and we live in Tallahassee, Florida. Can you say "road trip" 6200 miles total, yes we could fly out there BUT you lose the fun and the local flavor of the stops that you otherwise would never stop at. Here is the short story, pic...tures to follow.
1) Tallahassee,Fl to Amarillo Tx, there we stopped at the "cadillac ranch" where the cadillacs are nose down in the dirt, we also ate at the "big texan" home of the 72 oz steak, and no I did not temp to eat it, although they had the best chili I ever had.
2) The next stop was to the painted desert and the Petrified Forest. BUT on the way there we stopped at "Billy the Kids" grave and the Large, Mediator Crater, in Winslow,AZ.
3) Next was the Grand Cayon, (snow chains) oh did I mention we stayed on an indian reservation?
4) Next was the Sequoia National Park, (snow chains) to see the big trees, and they were HUGE!
5) Then Yosemite National Park.
6) Then the Golden Gate Bridge,
7) We then drove to the fishermans wharf in San Fransico, Ca.
8) Then we drove down Lombard Street in San Fransico. the worlds crooked street.
9) and to top all this off we surprised him for his Birthday, whew what a week.

Oh we also only stayed 2 nights in motels, the rest was sleeping in the car at night, we had the back seats down and put the luggage in the front seats, at one point is was 28 degrees and we left the car running almost every night to keep warm. The car maybe used 1/2 a gallon from running all night? I havent added up all the cost yet but fulley says 46 avg mpg.

If you can tell me how to post pics on here I will post some of the little car at 7330 feet, in snow, not bad for a Florida car.
The car really surprised me at how well it did, I mean we put it through a lot and it didnt miss a beat,

 

We slept at rest areas.
I have pictures of the little car on the trip not sure how to post them.
We really had enough time to enjoy the places.

Thanks No lie it was really fun. There is nothing like seeing the country from the car. It's a totally different feeling.

 

All my cars have advertising on them. from the Porsche do the 4 Runner. some people think it looks cheap others love it and copy it.
