Brian and I have had several requests to sell the 6mm hex socket that is used to install the BT Tech Stiffening Plate, so we decided to add it to the PriusChat Shop for your convenience:

    http://www.priuschat.com/shop/product_info.../products_id/34

The tool fits on a very common 3/8" ratchet wrench and makes the install a breeze. It is an option on the Plate product page for $8 (it is the default, so watch out if you are ordering the plate and don't want the hex socket - I can't figure out why it won't let "None" be the default), or you can order it on its own for $9.

I hope this helps you guys out!

    Danny,

I think it is a great idea to have this as an option. I used a Torque tool and got it installed with no problem.

I bought my 6mm allen socket at the local auto store for $4 and still felt ripped-off!

BTW, you can pick-up a low cost torque wrench (under $20) at Harbor Freight (or maybe from BT at $50).

Well, like I said, this is more out of convenience for PC members. If I was a large hardware store I could obviously sell these cheaper.
