Recently I've been using Mobil1 Extended Performance 0W/20 for all oil changes.
In Nov, 2014 I stopped using the "regular" Mobil 1 & started using the EP (both are 0W/20).

The Aug, 2015 consumption was slightly higher because of a 4500 mile 2 week vacation mostly at 75+mph.

This is south Florida - very flat - with AC all the time. Mostly surface streets 35-50mph - maybe 20% highway (65-75mph)

I have always kept the oil topped up - adding 8-10 oz. at a time, keeping the oil level at the full mark.

Every time the oil report came back Blackstone Labs would suggest doing 2K more miles before the next oil change. So I did & kept sending a sample off.
I think I'll stop pushing it much past 20K.
    Currently @ 13K.

How much oil topping up do you do between change intervals?

See "Make Up Oil Added" for each oil change on report.
The average seems to be around 4500 miles/quart.

Seems like you are adding as much as you would put in starting out anymore. May explain the results as well.

yeah i agree with ray. you basically added enough oil to repenish all original oil. granted what burned off or leaked out isn't always the old oil but to me seems that def could be adding to the good results.

Looks like oil consumption is going up while the OCI is increasing. Or maybe oil consumption is going up with increased total miles?
OP: do you see difference in the consumption at the beginning of OCI vs the end?

BTW, this is with only 20% hwy driving. oil consumption would be much worse with 100% hwy driving.

Slightly increased iron, slow but steady decrease in moly, calcium, boron and manganese. I'd change it out. Good info there.

5,000 to 6,000 mile oil changes should be followed.
