There's always a chance these'll come to pass. Here's to hope.

There we go. New electric vehicles are coming out of the woodwork now! And these are fairly reasonable prices. I wonder who's bankrolling development. (Although you notice the full-speed one is a 3-wheeler, technically a motorcycle, so it doesn't need crash-testing, and the others are NEVs (low-speed vehicles, limited to roads rated at <35mph), also not needing crash-testing).

Update: actually, the original source for the story is here

I'll be the main problem will still be the price.
I doubt they will actually come out with the $20,000 price.
It will probably be much higher with the other models higher still.

No one seems to be able to make a reasonably priced electric car.

Ho Hum. Another company promising to sell an EV much sooner than a reasonable person would think it's possible to bring a new product to market. Wake me when I can actually buy one and drive it away!

On second thought, I'm already driving my EV nearly every day. It's not a well-built car, but I've been driving it for nearly a year. There's lots of bad things you can say about Zap, but they deliver, and they've been delivering for a couple of years now.
