A/C (AC air conditioning) wired sound

My Amapola, 2008 Touring, 24K miles, also has a faint, somewhat
unusual sound when the A/C is first turned on or when switching from
outside air to recirc. Kind of a soft moan for a second or two, sort of an,
"Oh, now what?" sound.

I believe its just the various flaps, etc changing position for the
desired air flow. It doesn't sound grating or harsh, what I'm guessing
is some plastic/rubber gaskets dragging slightly, or maybe the
actuator/solenoid.

Let's not be too hasty though. Best to wait and see if there are any
other experiences with this.

 

This sound has been discussed previously; a search should find that previous discussion.

It was concluded that a baffle was dragging inside the ducting behind the dash. It can be corrected or left alone as it is non threatening.
