A/C recirculate or fresh Default

    We have rats in our Prius. Uggh. I've read the rat/rodent threads herein and picked up some good tips. Thanks all.

    Question: It was suggested to always shut down the Prius in A/C recirculate mode. Fresh allows varmints in as far as the cabin filter. But an 05 owner said his/her Prius defaults to "fresh" when shutting down. Does an 06 Prius also default to fresh? Can that be overridden?
