A mother asked a question of President Bush

I consider this sacrilegious and offensive.

Soldiers are not the Son of God.

And it is blasphemous to compare God giving his only son to men choosing to kill each other over such trifles as land or ideology; comparing the decisions of mortal presidents to God himself.

Jesus said "Love thy neighbor", not kill him if he doesn't worship the same way you do.

Comparing the Iraq war to the crucifixion is blasphemy.

This is an acceptable way for an essentially non christian society.

American soldiers should NEVER die for some country on the other side of the world's freedom!

You know who should die for Iraq's freedom? Iraqi soldiers, not American! Same with Vietnam and Korea.

We have already lost enough soldiers defending our country.

Interesting take on population control...the world is crowded, not here in Middle America-Missouri, but elsewhere, yes.

War is waged for many reasons...ethnic cleansing happens ALL the time, but it's not because some dictator is concerned about the Earth's poplulation (usually it's one very specific population they are concerned about and want to rid it from the Earth). That's hate. The killing and decrease in population is just a means to an end for them.

The Third World countries are the ones that have over-population. Most industrialized nations have zero population growth.

Blasphemy? Jesus was accused of blasphemy when he healed on the sabbath, and that was by the religious experts of the day.

Why is it blasphemy to compare giving of one life for the lives of many to save?

I see the parallel?.. what do you know about blasphemy?

What do you know about war?

What do you know about sacrificing for someone else?

What do you know about living for someone else, let alone about dying for someone else?

Are you sure you should you really be the judge?

 

I know that you would find it offensive for Bush to be compared to Satan.

But I'm not allowed to be offended by soldiers being equated with GOD. I do not equate the wars of man with the sacrifice of Christ.
