A "stuck" accelerator in AZ Prius

    Yet another person blaming their accident on a stuck accelerator in their Prius. Funny, because it turns out the data downloaded from the NY Prius shows brakes were never applied. Here's the link to the AZ story:

    Perhaps the power pole experienced an EMI event and drove into the Prius.

    Any word if there was airbag deployment?

    If this one had airbag deployment like the NY crash, then there would be EDR data. If that's the case, I'm also willing to bet here that the Arizona guy stomped on the gas pedal rather than the brakes.

    It really makes you wonder when the Gen Xers and Millennials are going to join in.

    When I was a member of Kaiser years ago, they were always trying to get me to say I had a workers comp or personal injury claim so they could bill someone else. I wonder if State Farm et al are asking every Toyota driver in an accident if it wasn't SUA...
