I am deeply sorry & sad to break the following news to you:

Many of your do remember Eddie Bell of Metro Toyota, right? He used to post here a lot and had organized a few group-buys for Prius Body Side Mouldings & other goodies. Here's his death notice:

    >> Edward C. Bell III Death Notice

Eddie was still one of the most friendly, responsive & professional vendors whom I have ever dealt with.

May his soul rest in Heaven.

    Edward (of Sigma Automotive)

    That's very sad. :(

I've referred a lot of people to his instructions on XM radio installation.

That is extremely sad news. Eddie was a great asset to PriusChat and will be missed.

I just received today, via UPS, a set of mud flaps. The top line of the return address on the label is: Eddie Bell.

I bought lots of stuff from Eddie starting with my first Prius in '01. He came to my attention by being mentioned in the first Yahoo Prius group. Always helpful, almost always cheerful.

It may not be an exaggeration to say that Eddie was one of the best-known (nationally) dealer parts managers ever, if not THE best-known. At least no one could have been better LIKED than Eddie.

May the wind be always at your back, Eddie.

    How very sad.

I wasn't in on the group buys for the molding but I did correspond with Eddie personally about the body moldings and purchased a few other items from Metro.

He was always friendly and helpful and went the extra mile.

39 years old. That is something that makes anyone, everyone feel old and venerable. May he rest in peace. I am so very sorry.

Eddie Bell was kind and helpful to many in the Prius community, myself among them. Hope his family is doing OK.

I'm sorry we lost Eddie too. He was a nice guy, and must have saved Prius owners here and on the Yahoo groups a lot of money.

No doubt they have Prius in heaven..
