Hi all. I purchased a 2012 Prius v in August 2019 with 130,000 miles. Initially the acceleration was pretty good, but recently I have noticed a decline and am wondering what I should check. The car had no maintenance records when purchased and I have not done anything except oil changes on it thus far. Have others experienced this? I am comparing this car to my other 2004 Prius with 285,000 miles on it that still has decent acceleration (much better than this one).

    Thanks in advance.

Assuming you do not have a check engine or other obvious things like misfires or dramatically lower mpg, try the Power mode pushbutton. Much better than Eco for quickness.

Besides the good suggestions mentioned above for the ICE side of the equation, you might want to look into the state of health of the HV battery. Weak batteries result in loss of power, lower mpg's, shortened EV operating time, etc. Also look into preventative maintenance in the form of grid charging (prolong charger).
