So, I wanted to add a subwoofer to my 2007pkg 6 with JBL. No big deal! Found someone with a custom 2 connector harness with a breakout for the speaker level inputs to my amp...bought....recieved, went to install -

Toyota thought they'd be funny and give me an amp with 3 connectors... (my fault for not checking this out before hand).

Anyone have a pinout diagram for 3 connectors?
Anyone have a 2 connector JBL amp and want this harness?
Anyone know where I can get/make/steal a breakout harness for three connectors?

I just dont WANT to splice wires.

I wound up tapping into the wires with scotchlock connectors for the speaker-level wiring. I wish there was a plug-in harness that went inline!

    Thanks KK6PD - and thanks Swanny -

so I am looking at this 14 page monster - and it's quite "scary", thats a big word for a Marine! -

Anyone have a picture with lables on it? or the actual harness diagram for just those three with the label?

I am not new to doing audio work - but - eeeeesh!

maybe its the lingo... i don't understand what you're asking.

i tapped into the jbl wires. right and left.. then sent it to a high pass filter.. or as it low pass filter... shrug... then took those rca lines to my amps input.

as a tip for the sub.. it works best if it's near the rear hatch pointing towards the hatch... it causes a reverb (for lack of better word) through the cab that's powerful yet barely audible outside the cab

which wires are which - kk6pd sent me a .pdf file (14 pages long) with like 36 diff wire connectors and a nice rainbow of wires.

I just want to know which wires I need specifically (make it easy on a guy) - easier. LOL.

You're in westlake? I work in BH and drive through there regularly, perhaps I could see your wiring one day?

I am begining the install now - Here are some preview pics of what's making my life easier!

1 - I obtained a harness from a member of another toyota blog/group for a JBL 2 connector amp, which clearly wouldnt work cause I have 3 connectors!

2- I modified it! Thats the name of the game people!

3 - it will save me time and allow me to make things neater by working outside of the car, plugging it in and going vs. working in the confined space under the seat!

    Pictures aren't showing up :(
Here's a link to them though.....
