adding cruise to a non cruise 2004

    Where did you find a non-cruise control 2004 Prius. Mine was a base (no option package Prius and CC was standard equipment.

    I have seen some discussion about adding CC to a Clasic (2001-2993) Prius.

    I don't think it's just a button. It think it would likely be horrendously expensive and extremely difficult to do.

    behind the front drivers airbag theres a plug
    that you stick a wire in to a switch that has 4 resistors ( cruise on off, set , resume, and the other one that has no name ) that go to the ground the specs are in the electrical manual for the prius i can retrieve it.

    Have you better infos or images? I have no cruise but could be interested in adding if not so difficult/expensive/intrusive....
