Keep it in your backpack and its fine. Be sure to tag only when cops aren't around.

 

On a similar and less potentially disastrous note, I would
caution against having canned soda/carbonated beverage
lying around in the car for long periods.

I had one split open after a long hot-soak in a shadeless
noonday parking lot. I was driving the car at the time when
the can let go -- I wouldn't say exploded exactly -- with a
Whoosh! The hissing sound of the out-rushing soda was truly
alarming. Fortunately, the split was not facing straight up.

Nonetheless, hot, pressurized soda was forcefully sprayed
all over the rear seats, front seat backs, and roof liner...
a real mess, that I never was able to completely clean up.

 

A few years ago a friend had a can of spray foam insulation explode in the back of his trans-am due to the heat build-up in the closed up car. To make a long story short -- they totaled the car.

 

And just for those northerners, some spray cans contain water. It will freeze. The can will burst - slowly. When it thaws out it will make a mess. For example, glass cleaner. Ditto for pop cans. They go POP (guess that's why we call them pop cans ). They make a mess immediately even when cold.
