Hey, I’m looking for affordable roof racks (fuel efficiency secondary). I see Thule etc. costing like $400-600. Is there a viable option for like $200-300 out there? Having a hard time making a choice.

Determine what you want and look on Craigslist until you find something that works. For example, I bought a set of used OEM crossbars for our Sienna today on Craigslist for just $20. I've got a Yakima roof rack including snow ski attachments with mounting hardware for a variety of cars that I plan to sell on Craigslist when I get around to it. It would cost around $600 to buy it all today but I doubt that I'll get even $100 for it. I've test fitted it on our 2012 Prius v and it seems to work although I've never tightened it down and used it on the Prius. No, I'm not shipping it to San Diego.
