Bino I was going to PM you the other day but I guess I'll just lay it all out here:

I honestly think you have the best looking Prius in all of PriusChat. I thought that 2 years ago with your Gen II and now once again with your Gen III. Your modifications are legit and tasteful. Your experience from modifying your Gen II shows with your Gen III. You've taken it to a whole 'nother level. More people intersted in Prius modifications should look to what you've done. I know I do. I have since I joined. So thank you. :)

    Simply Amazing - Executed perfectly.

What is the brand of that lip you are getting? Where did you order it from?

Does the CF hood use all the stock latches/hinges? Could you post pics of what it looks like underneath?

    Thanks.

You should do a sick headlight retrofit with S2k low beams, painted shrouds and leds! Check out some of the stuff they post at HIDPlanet.com. Lightwerkz and Black Flame Customs can make you a killer headlight package. Hell, you've done everything else. lol

thanks macmaster05.... there are a lot of great looking prius here....

the lip is just a generic brand that I found in Japan.... and yes the CF hood uses the stock latches/hinges.. just have to transfer whatever you have on the oem hood.... and also the cf hood does not make a lot of difference in terms of weight as our oem hood (I believe they are aluminum) is already pretty light... I'll try to take a picture underneath this weekend....

All good except the carbon fiber hood cover seems not flush to the surface. Redo it may make you car towards excellency.

Suprised you got the window moulding when you have the solar roof cooling systerm. I got my window moulding as a poor man's effort to cool the car and leave windows cracked open in summer. Love the look. you will need shark finn attenna when carring almost anything on a roof rack. Thule aero feet roof racks are very solid. I have used them on all types of cars/SUV's. Add Euro mud flaps, Prius side mouldings (chrome/factory), powder coat the wheels white to match. Paint or powder coat the brake calipers red. Do that before spending $thousands on new front end. I love the JDM badge in open grill now. I also love factory grill since its high enough to go over parking curbs.

Bino...first of all...very nice ride. Compliments on keeping it clean.

Now, you mentioned that the Seibon hood is "not much lighter" than the stock aluminum hood. I am building a project 2011 Prius with the theme of "lightest = most efficient" in mind. Having said that, I haven't been able to find anyone (including Seibon, who I called directly) that can tell me with certainty how the CF hood compares to the stock aluminum in terms of weight. Personally, I like the look of CF, but I would only buy it if I could justify it with some weight savings...EVEN if it were only a pound or two.

You didnt happen to weigh them for comparison, did you?

Very nice! Is it a right hand drive? I see the gear shift knob is labeled opposite of what I would expect. Definitely would look better with fogs instead of the grey plastic blank.

Nope... sorry I won't have the actual weight of the hoods for comparison.... all I could tell you is they are pretty close in terms of weight... whicH one is lighter... I'm not sure.... I only went with the CF hood for the looks and not the weight....
