Air bag warranty

    I have a 2005 Prius with about 156,000 miles on it. Last week the airbag light on the dash lit up. I took it to the dealer who did a diagnostic and said the airbags needed to be replaced for approx. $2,900 which is much more than I anticipated. A mechanic friend suggested that airbags are warrantied for the life of a vehicle. Does anyone know if there is such a warranty? Any suggestions?

    should be in your warranty book. i thought it was 5 years, but could be wrong, might be thinking emmissions.

    not sure, but you should get a mod to move your post into the appropriate forum – this is the Prius Plugin forum, not the Gen II forum…
