    Hi there,

I was in a minor car accident a few weeks ago (rear ended at low speed), no real damage only slight denting in the bumper. Recently, my service engine light came on and it was having trouble starting up. Today I had to have it towed to the dealership where they told me oil had gotten into the intake system and fouled out the spark plugs. They told me the air induction system had to be flushed. Could this have been caused by the accident?

    Thanks!

Virtually anything is possible, but here this is exceedingly unlikely. If you would like to know more, please post your vehicle mileage, the check engine light codes, how recent your last oil change was, and more details from your invoice.
