There are gobs of undergraduates majoring in remote sensing (or something like it), hating ArcInfo (and other Byzantine GIS programs). Ought to leap at the chance. Would be good for them to know something about plant physiology and architecture, but they are not such daunting topics.

Therefore, some of you might send this link along to young scientists you know. Make them read the primary literature. Bwah ha ha
