    I have given links in the past relating to this research. But reading the primary literature has not caught on at PC, so here is a different perspective on Greg Asner, who runs the show.

    He usta fly the first version of the plane (single engine) himself. Now things are more complicated. Frankly surprising to read of difficulties finding a successor. There are gobs of undergraduates majoring in remote sensing (or something like it), hating ArcInfo (and other Byzantine GIS programs). Ought to leap at the chance. Would be good for them to know something about plant physiology and architecture, but they are not such daunting topics.

    Therefore, some of you might send this link along to young scientists you know. Make them read the primary literature. Bwah ha ha
