Allergy season 2017 rough one

    So last week, crusty eyes started but I was busy, I didn't get the pseudoephedrine hydrochloride early enough and tried to use benadryl. That started out OK but this weekend, the pollen won:
    • sore throat
    • non-productive cough
    • crusty eyes
    • low-grade fever
    • thrush outbreak (mouth fungal growth)
    So I've prescription lozenges to knock back the thrush, every effective. But my eyes ... a clear liquid found on the right eyelid Tuesday and Wednesday morning. I has an appointment with the cardiologist and she suggests I might have 'pink eye'. So back to the physician's assistant who saw me that afternoon. So now I have "AK-POLY-BAC" and it has been effective.

    Lesson's Learned
    • Stock the pseudoephedrine in the medicine cabinet before the season starts.
    • Treat early, the minimum needed to effect control

    My commiserations and sympathy. I'm counting my blessings as i know how my wife suffers with hay fever.

    I have allergies too.
    My wife insists she did not have allergies until she married me! :eek:

    Like wives all over the world, wives can be allergic to their husbands immediately after the honeymoon (or earlier), and it seems like yours may be allergic to you. Welcome to the club! :oops::cautious:
