Yeah, that was hysterical- Rush abusing Viagra. No wonder he's such a "hard-on."
In all seriousness, while I'm sure that the right-wingers here will jump to the defense of their favorite blowhard, the fact that he had a prescription drug that was prescribed to his physician rather than himself "for privacy purposes" is a serious matter, as our resident MDs can attest. My sister-in-law is in a medical practice in Colorado, and one of the other physicians prescribed some drug (I forget which) for a professional athlete, but actually wrote the Rx in the name of the athlete's wife. He lost his license, and if I recall correctly, was facing prosecution.

I'll bet all the renewed criticism about him will get a rise out of him . . .

I prescribe a lot of ED drugs and it is not unusual for the recipients of such medications not to have their name on the label of the pill bottle for obvious reasons.

However, that is not the reason for this post.

Do you take pleasure in someone elses problems or ills or personal issues - or does the answer to this question depend on whether they are a Republican or Democrat?

I am a strong believer in personal privacy, especially ones' medical history. I think this is an ugly post - imagine if it were about you and whatever medication(s) you were taking - and it was all over the news?

I think a persons medical history is theirs and theirs alone. Again, I find this post disgusting.

Have you no decency? Is anything out of bounds for you?

:) I guess not. Always seems a lot harsher and "out of bounds" when it concerns someone who leans in your direction. I know how you feel.

It should be pointed out that one of the main reasons that left-wingers are so eager to point out all of Limbaugh's drug issues is because of his own previous, ignorant comments about drug addicts. Basically, comments suggesting that drug addicts (including, specifically, prescription drug addicts) should all go to jail and not get treatment.

While I'm sure that people on the left would go after Limbaugh without these comments, the ironic juxtiposition of his past comments and current reality is just too much.

First of all how do you guys know he was "Abusing" them? <_< I mean its not like the pill gives you some sort of high or a rush when you take more of them. It either works or it doesn't by taking more of them it doesn't get bigger, last longer or feel better. It's not even a scheduled drug that is under scrunity for abuse. The only thing I think you can accomplish by taking too much of this drug is a raging headache that will last for days or death. Just another dumbass statement by the left trying to embarrass someone. Once again I have to challenge the Lefties portrayal of the Right or their portrayal of anyone that doesn't agree with them. Now lets start the "Cut N Run" boys, or in the case of lairkin and his ilk change the topic to some type of personal attack  hereeeeeee comes the outrage. . . . BaHaHaHahahahahaaha

    Wildkow

p.s. ya gotta wonder about someone with recent drug problems why he would be traveling abroad without his own prescriptions. Also why didn't he just get samples from the Doc? They have tons of them in the back office to give away. That's where I get my drugs when I don't want anyone to know. ;)

p.s.s. BiTW how do you know Clinton didn't need them are you guys like sorta close. Bi now. :p

Careful, Dr. Berman, Fred's is wallpapered with posts from you that elicit precisely this question about yourself, with particular emphasis on its second half.

Unless Bush wants it claiming he needs it to look for terrorists, in which case, judging, again, by many of your posts, you'd personally turn over the entire hospital's records archive to John Poindexter.

Coming from you, sir, and when evaluated against the tone and targets of most of your posts, this is an astounding complaint, like a bully who's pelted every passer by with snowballs to holler foul when someone throws one back.

Limbaugh, incidentally, is a public figure: he lost every molecule of his privacy the moment he chose to nurture and increase his celebrity. You can't throw stones if you live in glass house, nor, it appears, get your rocks off.

I thought that as a gastroenterologist you'd be prescribing medications that firm up something different than the male sexual organ.

i'm sure for everytime some relatively famous right winger made the news for some sort of drug issue, there are 1,000 liberals getting stoned, ensuring an active drug trade, thereby increasing the number of deaths amongst our law enforcement folks...

Because liberals are the only ones using drugs, huh?

You fail to mention all the lovely meth labs and interstate pain med trafficking in the backwoods that are causing the bane of rural existence. And, while I have no numbers to support this, I would suspect that lots of those wonderful members of our society responsible for these issues came out in droves to support our illustrious potentate in the last two elections. It's true--these two drug problems have become two terrible red-state issues.

I guess, though, at least they aren't on the radio making a complete nice person out of themselves by spouting ridiculous hypocrisy.

Hmmm, were did this post come from? the back 40? We've gone from viagra kick stand pills to Meth?..

I find it funny, lets all jump on a unverified perverbial bandwagon because somone sees a possible story before the facts are laid out ., I agree with daronspicher...

at least they aren't on the radio making a complete nice person out of themselves by spouting ridiculous hypocrisy.
seems 80% of what he has spouted has been true..... The other 20% I have heard on occasion he publicly appologised for being wrong..

I didn't spend a lot of time reading up on the limbaugh viagra news articles... but from what I can tell, the pills were legit and I'd expect to find a limbaugh lawsuit coming toward the agencies involved in defaming him.

And, I hope he wins a few million to put on his big stack of cash that makes you all so jealous of him...

The residents of that town can all pony up their tax dollars to pay off that suit so in the end, they can be paying about a million bucks per minute for that 5 minutes of pleasure the idiot who leaked this thing to the press got during the phone call used to leak it.
