America's Scariest Drives according to Forbes Traveler

    Of particular interest to me was Dalton Highway at America's Scariest Drives - ForbesTraveler.com.

    From links on the right side of BLM Alaska: Dalton Highway, it looks definitely like a drive not for the unprepared. It's apparently mostly gravel.

    One of the "Scariest Roads" that was mentioned is "The Tail of the Dragon" (129 highway) going from Chilhowee Lake to Deal's Gap. This is a fabulous road, as are many of the others that were mentioned.
    This road is just a few miles from where I grew up and we used to drive that road all the time. Great Fun!

    Missing: The road up to Mt. Washington, New Hampshire -- with periodic water stations for blown radiators (not that it would help)

    Briefly described -- Himalayas without a guard rail !
