I recently replace the rear speaker on my 2005 non-jbl stereo with Infinity 62.7. After following sparky's guide (black to non-black wire) I tested the first speaker and it worked fine. Put it in door and closed up. Before putting in second speaker, tested again and nothing. I see the stations and cd info on screen, but no sound. ANY suggestions? Please. Can't live without sound

Have you opened it up again and tested? You could have a short that only occurs when you close up.

Check fuses. If something shorted out, it might've blew a fuse. Not sure if there is one on the amp, though. There's a fusebox next to the parking brake which may have a fuse for the amp. There'll be a fuse map on the fuse box cover telling you which fuse is what.

And if you didn't know, the fuse puller is in the relay box in the engine compartment in front of the driver.

Thanks anywany. I checked the fuses (#45 is stereo) and all is well.
Still no sound. Blown amp I think. Except I don't even know where the amp is.

I think the factory amp is under the passenger seat.

I don't think there is an amp for the non-jbl version. The amp would be built-in to the headunit. Kinda sucks, but it may mean replacing the headunit. I'd go for a new aftermarket deck and have it installed in the map pocket.
