There are 2 wires to the amplified antenna,(at the top of the car),,a black... and a greyish color. Im taking it the black is the antenna what is the grey wire?
I don't remember the colors, but the one that's fat enough to be a coaxial RF cable is the one carrying the antenna signal, and the one that's skinny enough to be a plain wire is power to the antenna amp.
Or, wait, have you got more than one, all fat enough to be coax? On my gen 3, I know that roof antenna really has several different antennas in it: AM/FM, XM, and cellular for the now-defunct 3G safetyconnect system. I think it might even include a GPS antenna for the safetyconnect (separate from the one for the nav system; that GPS antenna's under the dash, beneath the windshield).
