I’m replacing the JBL Amp with a larger class A/B amp under the passenger seat (an old MTX Thunder 4x40) to power all door speakers. I might do a full re-wire. Never added an amp to a car with a large battery bank before. Any spots I should avoid that cause a lot of signal interference? Amp 1 - power will run from rear battery along pax side to amp, grounded just under the pax seat. - RCAs directly from head unit to amp, about a 2-3 foot run. - all speaker wiring will run up or down the center hump first, then split left or right to the front and rear doors. Amp 2 (future small woofer) - under drivers seat. - power will follow amp 1, coming from pax side, under front of rear seats to avoid speaker wiring as much as possible. - small subwoofer wiring will travel down driver’s side past the main battery’s connector. Any feedback appreciated, even if you ran it a different way, I can know what does work. Thanks!
Also, I set up my amp mount with a panel in the back. I like how it’s hidden, but it might block ventilation for people in the back. I don’t normally have any passengers. Any feedback if I’m forgetting something appreciated.
